It’s been a very long time since I did a Friday Favourites post, but I thought maybe I’d share one this week to make up for it!
I love this article about ways we body shame without knowing it. I’m sure I’ve been guilty of these myself a few times, and I’ve definitely been on the receiving end of more than a few of them. I think it’s time we start worrying about ourselves – and ONLY ourselves.
Maybe it’s just the Polish heritage, but just looking at the photo of these pierogies makes me immediately feel like one of Pavlov’s drooling dogs. I can smell them warming in the kitchen, and feel the dough between my fingers – whenever we made them when I was a kid, we’d use the extra dough, fry it into noodles, and top them with ketchup. Yum!
Mark and I don’t have any children, but we are always on the lookout for dates we can have at home. Some of these sound fantastic – I wonder if I could talk him into having a theme night!
Need a mood-booster? Look at this animals board on Pinterest. There are few things that can pull me out of a horrible mood like baby animals doing silly things. Or elephants of any age.
This is a bit more specific to people who grew up where I did, but this tumblr full of Michigan-isms had me captivated the other day. Sometimes it helps to look at things from there when I’m feeling homesick. (I imagine most people would find some of them funny anyway!)
